What is dance and movement therapy?
Ted Ehrhardt, MS, BC-DMT, LCAT, CMA has facilitated dance/movement therapy groups within psychiatric hospitals for over 25 years. He earned an MA in Dance Therapy at Hunter College and is certified in Laban Movement Analysis. He has participated as a movement analyst in psychoanalytic and forensic medicine research projects at New York University and John Jay College, respectively. He clinically supervises dance therapists and dance therapy interns and teaches at Pratt Institute and the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies. He is also on the faculty at Inspirees, a training program for dance/movement therapy in China.
His work in the psychiatric setting is featured in the film, "Moving Stories", produced by the New York Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association
